Great! I am happy to hear that you have been able to handle your problems before. Everyone goes through life and its challenging situations. While we may feel we have been navigating through the difficulties life has thrown at us, it wouldn’t hurt to get support. You see, there is nothing wrong with receiving support in the form of therapy. There is nothing wrong with processing our thoughts, feelings, and whatever we are going through in a safe and non-judgemental environment. In fact, therapy seems to be for individuals who have enough self-awareness. They are the ones who may seek support or look for a helping hand. They may want to explore additional choices or even have a safe place to unwind while exploring better inner self options. I believe it is admirable, to say the least… finding has shown that skills learned in the therapeutic process can provide long-lasting benefits and support in empowering you to be mindful in identifying triggers and utilizing different techniques to manage undesirable situations to help remain grounded and at peace.
While it is a valid question, There is no definite answer to it. It all depends on your need. It is safe to say that more than a session or two is needed to make some progress towards what brought you in the first place. Sometimes a few sessions seem to be sufficient for some to process and find answers, while in other situations, one may choose to continue a long-term approach. In my experience, often, individuals choose to work with me through additional layers and address additional goals and items that arise as we work through issues and move towards goals. What is important to note is that therapy is a collaborative relationship in which goals and progress are discussed between you and the therapist. However, do not forget that YOU are the one who makes the ultimate choice. I can make recommendations and help you guide you while you are the one making the choice for yourself
This is correct.. At this moment I only accept IEHP insurance through Medi- Cal. In the past and more recently, I was paneled with different insurance companies while working in a group and private practice. Through my experience, I found that there are many limitations in working with most insurance panels. Unfortunately, I found that clients were still finding the full bill landing in their laps at times even after the paperwork was correctly submitted to the insurance. Other times, due to insurance lapse, the services were interrupted abruptly, leaving the individual and me sad and helpless. To limit these negative experiences, I have chosen to only be part of IEHP through MediCal and also charge out of pocket to avoid any surprise bills and abrupt interruption of service. Moreover, If you are an eligible IEHP member, you could possibly qualify to request transportation. If it is the case, we have to work together to see if you are eligible to make it possible for you.
I understand that at times paying out of pocket seems to be a financial challenge; however, I want to encourage you to reach out. Please Don’t let my fee discourage you from reaching out to me. Many times, I have found that I am able to come up with an acceptable arrangement with people who have reached out and shown interest. Even on occasions that we couldn’t work together, I have been able to provide referrals to potential clinicians that could be helpful.

Through telehealth, I can provide therapy online and over the phone for clients who live anywhere in the state of California. Through telehealth, you have the option of connecting with me virtually (online) or over the phone from the comfort of your own home.
